Which ATS resume checkers are actually free

Three things are usually metered: the number of scans, the number of resumes you can keep, and whether the PDF comes out watermarked. FlowCV gives away unlimited un-watermarked exports but only one resume; Rezi gives three downloads; Jobscan meters scans. ResuHive's ATS parser and JD match run without an account at all, which is the only version of 'free' that lets you see the result before deciding to trust the product.

Common questions

Do free ATS checkers actually use a real ATS?

No tool has access to the parsers inside Workday or Greenhouse. What they do is re-parse your file the way those systems would and report what fails to come through — which is why a checker that shows you its parsed output is more useful than one that only shows a score.

Does a higher match score mean a better chance?

It means fewer keywords are missing, which is a screening threshold, not a ranking. Past the point where the required terms are present, more keywords stop helping and start reading as stuffing.
