A dental assistant resume must show you are qualified for the procedures your state allows, keep the chair turning, and handle radiographs and charting cleanly.
Three things, in order of weight.
Credentials: RDA or CDA (DANB), state radiography/X-ray certification, expanded functions (EFDA) if licensed, CPR/BLS.
Chairside procedures assisted — restorative, endo, oral surgery, ortho — and patients per day.
Practice software and infection control: Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, OSHA and CDC sterilization protocols.
Work them into your title, project descriptions and skills — don't pile them into a list.
Each cover is the template itself, rendered.
Warm, approachable look suits patient-facing private practices.
Lets RDA, X-ray, and CPR credentials lead the page.
One page. Unless you have 10+ years and a genuinely full second page, the second page only dilutes the first. Put credentials: rda or cda (danb), state radiography/x-ray certification, expanded functions (efda) if licensed, cpr/bls. above the fold.
Not stating your state's X-ray certification — many offices can't legally let you take radiographs without it.. It is the single most common reason this role gets screened out, and fixing it matters far more than changing templates.
