A project manager resume has to show you delivered — on time, on budget, at a stated scope — and that you managed risk rather than just tracking tasks.
Three things, in order of weight.
Project scale: budget, team size, duration, and number of stakeholders per project.
Delivery record: schedule and budget variance, and how you recovered slipping projects.
Methodology and credentials: PMP, CSM, Agile/Waterfall/hybrid — matched to the posting.
Work them into your title, project descriptions and skills — don't pile them into a list.
Each cover is the template itself, rendered.
Strong header leaves room for name plus PMP credential right at the top.
Solid, structured look that reads as dependable — the core PM trait.
One page. Unless you have 10+ years and a genuinely full second page, the second page only dilutes the first. Put project scale: budget, team size, duration, and number of stakeholders per project. above the fold.
Listing duties ("managed timelines, ran meetings") with no project size or outcome attached.. It is the single most common reason this role gets screened out, and fixing it matters far more than changing templates.
